Bruce and Loki at home during the storm, January 24th

With the first crack of thunder outside, Bruce goes about making sure the shutters are closed on the pharmacy's windows, locking the front door and setting it tight. One thing he's certainly glad for are the few candles he found in the process of cleaning the place up, so he gathers one and rigs a holder for it, then knocks on Loki's door.

"Loki? If that beast of yours will let me in, I have a candle for you. I don't think we should run the generator in this storm." There's a small fondness in the word 'beast'. Despite the fact he knows several of these beasts hurt and killed people, the one they have in their home seems to actually slowly be learning to behave itself. It still could be as foolish, stupid, and frustrating as any puppy, though.

"Oh, he will let you in. Apparently thunder is not his thing." Which was why Loki had a bundle of blankets that once was a vicious channel dog. Loki is honestly kind of curious if he will turn into a blanket dog by the time the storm is over. The storm does not bother him; in fact, it reminds him of Thor. Thor is a strangely comforting thought. Logically, he remembers the time when his elder self and his brother were enemies. But recently, all he can remember is fondness.

Thor would keep him safe, if he were here. There is nothing to fear from his thunder.

[Bruce eyes the text from the unfamiliar number and frowns.]

lets just say I'm glad the greenhouse got as far as it did, or Id be more worried. I braved going out and checked but the greenhouse seems like it hasn't gotten any of the blood in yet.

[Okay no. He gives up. He doesn't want to talk to anyone right now, but he wanted to tell Bruce he wouldn't be around for some days. Wasn't working out well.]

March 20th

In the middle of the afternoon a strange sound like a small bell being struck will ring, and a piece of rolled up parchment poofs into being right near Bruce's head, accompanied by a small puff of green smoke.

It will hover in the air nearby, relentlessly following him if he does not give it immediate attention.

When he does take it and open it, he will find this message:

[It takes a long time for Bruce to answer, but eventually he does, sighing a little before doing so.]

[He doesn't have this phone number programmed into his phone because they've never spoken via text before, and the words send a chill down his spine. Does this have something to do with the rampage in the tent?]

[When Bruce is done flipping his shit about the house he apparently randomly spawned in, he'll find a message left for him on his phone.]

[When Bruce goes to investigate, he can find a couple of packages wrapped up (as much as things can be in Box anyway) waiting for him inside. Does this mean Psii broke inside? Maybe. But he locked up after he was done.]

[One package is what appears to be alligator skin laying on top of a pair of sweaters, and on top of that is a necklace with a leather string decorated with gator teeth. The other package is alligator meat. Quite a bit of it.]

[Happy Whatever-Fuckiing-Human-Holiiday-IIt-II2, Bruce.]

[...And yes that is what's written on a scrap of paper laying on top of them.]

[When Bruce ends up finding the note and the gifts, he's actually deeply touched. While it's not exactly the sort of thing he would normally wear, he actually does tie the gator teeth around his neck before he goes to get the meat somewhere else, even enjoys the sweaters on some ridiculous level.

Eventually though, Psii does receive a text back.]

Thank you, Psii. I don't usually celebrate the holidays, and it's ironic that I've celebrated it more as a prisoner than I did as a free man. That meat is going to be a life saver during the winter. It'll always be available if you need it.

I don't know what you need, but would you like one of the baby chickens? I can make sure you get a female now - and seed to feed it. She'll give you eggs that you can eat all year long.

[After some fascinating conversations on his post, Psii has suddenly realized he never cleared up something with Amal on the horrors of human reproduction. Immediately, he calls up the doctor he knows best.]

Do they jutht burtht out of your fucking thtomach or what!? There'th no good way for them to get out!

[He sounds actually sort of worried and alarmed here before he realizes he should clarify.]

I don't know where this came from, but Human spawn- we call them babies, by the way- are passed out of the mother through the vaginal canal. They don't burst out of the stomach. However, if something is wrong, they can be surgically removed through the lower abdomen.

March 18th, voice

[There's a sort of tremble to Psii's voice as he leaves this message- not too long after that horrifying screech if Bruce is keeping track.]

[Bruce is still recovering from the screech, laying on the floor of the Pharmacy from where he had fallen to his knees in an attempt to curl into a ball. Between the screech and the roar of the Hulk in his head, it had felt like his head would split open. Still, with a shaking hand, he works the phone out of his pocket when he feels it vibrate from the message. Loki, or Annie, or--

Unlocking it and getting up the message is tricky when his hand shakes, but he manages it. The message left behind though... he stares at the base of the wall across the room, holding his breath. What... what does that mean? Not sure he'll be able to...?

His hands are still shaking a little as he forces himself up, trying to call Psii back. Please, please pick up. What's going on!?]
